Lakeville, MN, is home to more than 100 miles of bike and pedestrian trails, offering unlimited possibilities for your next cycling adventure. Whether you’re biking to a park, cruising for cardio, or just out for a leisurely ride, you’ll be able to get most anywhere in town on this extensive trail system. For thrill seekers, there is the new up and coming West Lake Marion Park mountain biking trail, which will offer 4.5 miles of off-road awesomeness built by biking enthusiasts. Ritter Farm Park is a nature lover’s paradise in Lakeville, MN. This wildlife refuge boasts 340 acres of untouched open space, nearly nine miles of hiking and equestrian trails, and gorgeous scenery at every turn. Let your dog run free in the new off-leash dog park, which offers five acres of fenced space to roam, plus water bowls and waste bags.

Set amongst the rolling hills of the Kenwood Trail Middle School grounds, Kenwood Trail Disc Golf Course offers a fun and challenging experience for newbies and experienced golfers alike. Whether you’re into tubing, wakeboarding, waterskiing, jet skiing, fishing, cruising or swimming, boating is just plain fun! Thankfully, there are beautiful lakes in the Lakeville, MN area to keep you entertained all summer long. Lakeville’s Lake Marion offers 560 acres to explore, with a boat launch at Casperson Park. Orchard Lake Beach off Judicial Road in Lakeville offers a picnic area, shore fishing, playground and a swimming beach. Speed your way into summer fun at Elko Speedway, just a few miles south of Lakeville, MN. The speedway offers 20 live racing events from May to September, with special “Eve of Destruction®” nights featuring daredevil stunts, monster trucks, school bus races, motorcycles, motocross, live music, a petting zoo, bull rides and even fireworks!

Lakeville offers two unique play destinations for kids: Land of Amazement 2.0 and King Park. Located in Steve Michaud Park, Land of Amazement 2.0 is Lakeville’s newest play area. This large climbing structure invites imaginative play with slides, ramps, forts, climbers and swings. For kids with and without disabilities, King Park is an inclusive playground offering accessible play structures with climbers, swings, spinners and sensory panels.

Play ball!

Lakeville’s King Park is home to the Miracle Field, where the South Metro Miracle League plays. Miracle League offers opportunities for children and adults ages 3 years old and over with cognitive and/or physical disabilities, to play baseball, regardless of ability. This custom-designed, rubberized turf field accommodates wheelchairs and other assertive devices while helping to prevent injuries.
